IT'S ALL ABOUT THE WIND!
- An AquaTint Box (also known as a Rosin Box) is manufactured to make “wind” to drive eddies of rosin powder into the sealed box, so that it can fall back down and settle onto the artist print plate, to create a mottled effect.
- Crank-handle driven paddle or fan assisted models available / made to order.
- A curved bottom AquaTint box + paddle = effective “wind” box.
- A hatch or door allows the artist to lay the print plate onto the shelf or rack. A window + internal light is ideal to watch the magic happen!
- The size of the shelf or rack should be slightly larger than the print plate. This will then dictate the size of the paddle or fan, and ultimately the size of the AquaTint Box (or Rosin Box).
